Like pads, liners (or, “panty liners”) go inside your undies and feature a sticky strip that sticks onto your undies to keep them in place.
Why use liners?
Liners are thin and comfortable and can be easily slipped into your undies just in case your period comes unexpectedly. They’re also useful if you need a little more protection when using tampons. Everyday liners are used on days when you don’t have a period, while the backup protection liners will keep you protected on period days.
If you experience vaginal discharge (totally normal btw) liners are the product for you! Vaginal discharge is natural and occurs to keep the vagina healthy. A healthy discharge is often whitish in colour and will dry yellow. Any vaginal discharge that is not irritating to the skin, smelly, or blood-stained is most likely normal. Not everyone will want to use liners, but some choose to wear them to protect their panties.
Changing your liner
The frequency with which you change your liner depends on why you’re using them – as a backup during your period, or for protection and freshness. Either way, on average you should change your liner about every four hours.
