Australian employees are pushing for improved waste management in their workplaces, dissatisfied with current recycling efforts. Recent research highlights their desire for more recycling options in offices, with two-thirds of workers advocating for change. As carbon reporting becomes more prevalent, companies are under pressure to be transparent about their waste practices. With Australia generating 76 million tonnes of waste annually, individuals and organizations face increasing pressure to adopt sustainable practices.
The study commissioned by COS found that 66% of Aussie workers wish that their company would make more of an effort in terms of their ability to recycle and reduce waste, with 74% believing that recycling regularly is the most impactful thing they can do for the environment.
