According to Worldometer, there are approximately 8.2 billion people in the world, with 5.45 billion of them active Internet users. Australians spend around 40 hours each week online, the length of an average work week. Between 2019 and 2024, the number of internet users in Australia increased by 265 thousand (+1.2 percent) and the number of internet users in Australia reached 22.31 million in January 2024, meaning that 88% of Australians are active Internet users. By 2025, it’s expected it will reach 23.36 million users!
